Dish Network’s (DISH -0.6%) billionaire chairman Charlie Ergen has made his SPAC move.
He’s founded a blank-check special purpose acquisition vehicle, CONX, which has filed for a $1B initial public offering.
It’s looking for a listing on Nasdaq and will seek out a potential merger target in technology, media and telecommunications, “including the wireless communications industry.”
And notably: “We may pursue an initial business combination opportunity jointly with an entity to which an officer or director has a fiduciary or contractual obligation, which may include DISH and EchoStar (SATS -2.5%).”
